Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek.Ģ1. It read: Jesus of Nazareth, the king of the Jews.Ģ0. Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. There they crucified him, and with him two others-one on each side and Jesus in the middle.ġ9. Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).ġ8. Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. All four Gospels testify to the crucifixion referenced below but for the sake of time we will look at John specifically:ġ6. This goes against logic.Īccording to the Bible, Jesus died a public death on the cross and rose three days later. However, logic demands that John cannot be in New York and not be in New York at the same time. These are different aspects of the same person. It is logical to have different aspects of (A), but not contradictory aspects.Įxample: John is a father. (A) cannot be both (A) and (non-A) simultaneously. The Law of Non-Contradiction, or the law of the excluded middle, states that Yet, they contrast on what they say about Jesus. The Bible says scripture is God-breathed. In the Quran, the Gospel, or Injil, is considered to be from God and is incorruptible.
